HEUG EMEA Conference 2013
9-10 October 2013
Prospero House, 241 Borough High Street, London

The annual HEUG EMEA Conference will again take place in London in October this year.

This event is a single conference for the higher education sector, by the higher education sector, representing all the different Oracle systems used by the Higher Education sector in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. It is the best local opportunity to share information, experience and best practice among Higher Education institutions in the EMEA region about the selection, implementation and cost-effective use of Oracle products.

The HEUG website has been updated and now contains all the information you need to plan for attending the HEUG EMEA Conference. Get involved and consider submitting a presentation for this year’s event.

Keep your eye on the website to keep abreast of developments and key releases of information.

If you are not a current member of the HEUG please ensure you join ASAP. You will need to be a member in order to register for the conference and for presentation submissions.

The standard and breadth of presentations offered last year was the main reason for the success of the event and we are confident of providing an even better programme in 2013. However we need you to get involved by submitting proposals for presentations for the conference.

We do not only want formal presentations – if you would like to lead a workshop or chair a panel discussion on a topic of interest to you then feel free to submit this as a proposal.

New for this year – we are welcoming ideas for ‘mini-sessions’. These will be shorter sessions of 30 minutes, providing an opportunity to introduce some of those great solutions which focus on a small area of functionality - What 'quick wins' have you delivered for your institutions? - use these mini-sessions to tell us about them.

Also be aware that the primary speaker for every full session proposal accepted will receive a free registration to the HEUG EMEA 2013 conference! (Mini-session presenters are eligible for a half-price registration)

We would welcome your proposals in one of the following tracks:

We’re looking for presentations around all aspects of Campus Solutions (Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials or Academic Advisement).

We would particularly welcome sessions on Program Enrolment, Activity Management or any of the newer functionality. Have you any experiences or ideas you wish to share?

We’re calling for all presentation topics, but of particular interest are those relevant to both PeopleSoft and EBS customers.

With pressure to drive benefits from the considerable investment made in the financial systems, we’re looking for presentations on self-service applications like internet expenses, internet procurement and automated approval methods.

Also, with audit requirements getting more stringent and rigorous checks being made on who has what level of responsibility, what is your institution doing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.

Last year we received a number of valuable, and well received, technical presentations so this year we hope to expand this to a full track. We would like your ideas on sessions covering any area of the available PeopleSoft or E-Business tools. This can include mobile technology, People Tools, Oracle Application Framework, performance improvement, proactive maintenance and Service Orientated Architecture (SOA).

Do you have a session which doesn’t fall neatly into one of the above tracks? This could include reporting, training, support, project management, or anything of general interest.

What type of usability enhancements have you made? We’d like to see sessions about how you have improved the user experience of the system in your institution.

Please submit your presentation ideas by going to the ‘Presentation Guidelines’ Tab within the ‘HEUG EMEA 2013’ website, which can be accessed through HEUG Online.

The deadline for submissions is 5 July 2013
